Place Category: Cash for Gold
casshforgold.TO has been around since 2010. A lesser known spot on the Danforth, they are open all days of the week. Looking at their Facebook page, or Yelp might leave you scratching your head. Gold.TO’s experience was above average, but not by much. We were offered roughly 30% less than the value of our gold. A more reasonable would be 15-20% less. We always recommend you look at our tips on selling gold, found on our Gold News Page, before you visit. Frankly, this is not a bad place to sell your gold if you happen to be in the area. Their store is clean, and if you know what the intrinsic value of your jewellery is, you will be A-OK. Our cashforgold.TO review looks at five key experience indicators: Price Paid, Service, Store & Location, Transparency, and Value Added Services.
A Positive cashforgold.TO Review
cashforgold.TO gets off to a great start because they don’t haggle nearly as much as most. Again, you can expect to get a little more than average here. If you are an inexperienced gold seller, you may be better served with a lower overall price but a higher starting price. Having spoken with some of cashforgold.TO’s customers, Gold.TO found most came as referrals. Cashforgold.TO is on the Toronto’s Best Gold Buyer List for three reasons: they have some price integrity, a refreshingly nice store, and a less competitive location. We applaud their store, as it really is a break from most gold buyers. That last part means that for local gold sellers, cashforgold.TO stands out.
How can cashforgold.TO continue to better itself?
We like to joke that cash for gold has a certain stigma to it. In reality, it does and it doesn’t. Cashforgold.TO specializes in what it does: buy your old gold and jewellery. For reasons of security, or perhaps just the institutional imperative (the tendency to act as do peers), this is not a warm environment. Cashforgold.TO clearly recognizes the value of a nicer interior. Unfortunately, a nice couch and coffee table are not enough. The feeling that a precious thing is being sold as a commodity lingers. Most people today are aware that their grandparent’s gold jewelry isn’t worth nearly as much as it originally cost. The next step towards a sustainable cash for gold business needs to be putting that aside. Always for the gold seller, and all too rarely for the gold buyer, does the experience matter.
